When Life Takes an Unexpected Turn | Trusting God With the Life You Didn’t Plan Have you ever looked at your life and wondered: “How in the world did I get here?” Maybe you had a plan for your career. Your marriage. Your children. Your retirement. Your health. Your future. And then something happened. One phone call. One diagnosis. One decision. One accident. Or maybe things changed so gradually that one day you looked around and realized: This isn't the life I thought I would be living. In the first message of our new series, The Life I Didn’t Plan, we look at John 9:1–7 and the story of a man who had been blind from birth. When the disciples encountered him, their first question was essentially: “Why?” Whose fault was this? Why did this happen? Who was to blame? But Jesus refused to reduce this man's suffering to punishment or blame. Instead, Jesus met him exactly where he was. In this message, we'll discover: - Why suffering isn't necessarily God's punishment - What to do when you don't understand why something happened - How to trust God when life looks nothing like you planned - Why you don't need every answer before taking your next step - How God's grace can reach even the darkest parts of our stories - Why Jesus remains present in circumstances we desperately wish we could change Sometimes we want God to explain why. But Jesus may be inviting us to ask a different question: What now? The diagnosis may still be real. The grief may still hurt. The relationship may still be broken. The future may look nothing like the one you imagined. But you are not alone there. Jesus is right there with you. We don't have to bring God the life we wish we had. We bring Him the life we have—the broken parts, unexpected parts, unanswered questions, and all. Hidden in Plain Sight | Jesus Was There the Whole Time Have you ever looked at your life and thought: “I had hoped things would be different.” I had hoped the relationship would last. I had hoped the job would work out. I had hoped they would get better. I had hoped life would look different by now. In this message from the Plot Twists series, we walk the road to Emmaus in Luke 24:13–35, where two devastated disciples believe their hope has died with Jesus. There's just one problem: Jesus is walking right beside them—and they don't recognize Him. Their circumstances haven't changed. The cross still happened. Their grief is still real. Plot Twists: Right Where You Need to Be Right Where You Need to Be Have you ever wondered… "Why am I here?" Maybe the better question is: "God, how can You use me here?"
