David has been serving as senior pastor here at Faith Church since 2007. He loves the people of Faith Church and enjoys very much his ministry in the south Fort Myers area.
David’s greatest passion is to introduce people to Jesus Christ and to help disciples grow deeper in their walk with Him. He believes that Jesus Christ is the hope of the world and that the grace of Christ can transform anyone.
In his off time David enjoys spending time with his wife, their grown children, and their friends. He enjoys working in his yard and watching television. His favorite shows include: Throwdown with Bobby Flay, any Star Trek, and Dancing with the Stars. Among his favorite movies are: The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Star Wars series, and Pale Rider. David enjoys listening to all kinds of music. His favorites include: anything from the 1970s and early 1980s and Christian Praise and Worship. He also enjoys listening to Country from time to time. His favorite Christian song is Be Thou My Vision because it speaks to him about his greatest passion, serving the Lord Jesus Christ. A song that he has been enjoying a lot in recent weeks is Awake and Alive by the Christian rock band Skillet.
David’s favorite Scripture verse is Philippians 4:13.
One of his hobbies is to collect Grinch ornaments (the original version, not the movie version) especially from Hallmark and Lenox. He started collecting the Grinch because the story fascinated him as a child. He loves the Christmas season and knows that Christmas can’t be bought in a store. He also believes that the reason Christ came is to transform lives. The Grinch is just a fun way to remind him and others that anyone can be transformed.
David and his wife Sherry have been married for 28 years. They have two grown daughters. Christina is married to Travis. Brittany is a senior at the University of South Florida.
